1. Production
The Ural electrochemical combine (UEIP) since 2001 carries out serial release and deliveries to the market of storage batteries of type 20NKBN-25-U3 TU16-89 ILVE.563 512.005TU, the air courts intended for equipment civil and military-oriented.
Now storage batteries are maintained in operating parts of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Russian and foreign airlines, and also delivered on aviation factories (research-and-production combine "Irkut", the Uhlan-Udensky aviation factory, Russian aircraft constructing corporation "MiG", "Attack planes Suhogo", etc.) for a complete set of made and repaired aviation technics.
Mastered on UEIP manufacture of storage batteries by capacity to 5000 batteries in a year has the complete set of the technological and test equipment, powerful analytical base, qualified personnel. The monitoring system of quality generated on UEIP in working out and manufacture of devices of space appointment, is introduced in manufacture of aviation batteries and corresponds to requirements of the international standards. Storage batteries are issued under the control of military representation.
2. A scope:
• independent start of the basic and auxiliary aviation engines or turbine starter;
• power supplies maintenance in land conditions of separate receivers at idle basic both auxiliary aviation engines and absence of power supplies from air field sources of the electric power;
• start in flight of the stopped aircraft engine or turbine starter;
• a food in flight of receivers of 1st category at emergency work of system of power supply.

4. Manufacture and technology
Manufacture of accumulators is equipped by the equipment of own working out, of some the known specialised domestic enterprises and foreign firms. Its designed capacity makes 20 million ampere-hour a year.
In a manufacture basis the electrode technologies used in world practice at manufacturing of recharged sources of a current for the aviation technics, and also tight accumulators are put in pawn. The made electrodes are characterised by high durability, low internal resistance, and also absence of the impurity negatively influencing for work of the accumulator.
The experience which has been saved up at designing of products of space appointment, and scientific potential of workers of factory of electrochemical converters have allowed to solve a number facing manufacturers nickel-kadmievyh of accumulators of problems, such as pressure stabilisation in them at charge, stability to "thermal dispersal", capable to put accumulators out of action at a recharge, carrying out of the forced charge by currents of high frequency. As a result given production of the Ural electrochemical combine possesses high reliability, durability, ability to work in the conditions of peak loadings and a wide range of temperatures. Thanks to the spent settlement-experimental optimisation of a design of current carrying parts of the accumulator, and also application of progressive methods of welding, it was possible to lower internal resistance of the storage battery considerably. As a result starter-starting characteristics both in normal climatic conditions, and at negative temperatures have essentially improved.
5. Development.
Now flight tests of the aviation storage battery 20KSX-25 (analogue 20NKBN-25-U3), corresponding to the European quality standards are finished.
