1. BASIC INFORMATION
This Catalogue includes a list of Uranium Isotopic Standards (Certified Reference Materials) certified by mass spectral laboratory of Analytical Center of the Company, registered by RF GOSSTANDART and entered in the State Register of certified State Uranium Isotopic Standards (SUIS) in March, 1999.
At the 20th Conference of Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (Bishkek - Cholpon-Ata, October 30 - November 2, 2001) the SUIS were recognized as Interstate Uranium Isotopic Standards (IUIS), entered in IUIS Register and approved for use without limitation in the states of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
State Uranium Isotopic Standards are used for:
- uranium isotopic composition measurements
- testing and calibration of uranium
- isotope measurement procedures and instruments.
The Standards were certified by mass spectrometry with application of special SUIS manufactured of high-purity uranium isotopes by gravimetric method.
Certification was performed by several mass spectrometers, using different procedures.
The Standards are available in certified packaging УКТ1A-СОГ in a form of uranium hexafluoride and УКТ1A-СОТ in a form of uranyl-uranate.
In the Catalogue the Standards are given in ascending order of U-235 isotope atomic fraction.
The whole range of uranium-235 content from 0% to 100% is broken down into 30 subranges, to each of which there corresponds one SUIS type with its state registration number. Generally, the type contains several particular Standards with different isotopic composition, each Standard is assigned lot number.
A delivery set of each individual Standard includes:
- Certified Transport Packaging
- Standard Certificate
- Manual
- Certificate of Quality
- Packing List.
2. STANDARD ORDERING PROCEDURE
To obtain SUIS, Russian enterprises and organizations forward a Letter of Intent to UEIP with indication of Standard state registration number and index, lot number, type of Standard material, number of specimens, and amount of uranium in one specimen in grams. The maximum material amount in one SUIS specimen equals to 10 gU for SUIS in a form of uranium hexafluoride, and 3 gU for SUIS in a form of uranyl-uranate.
The price for Standards being delivered is fixed in the Price-List approved by UEIP management. The transport charges depend on the option of packaging delivery chosen. The deliveries are effected on the terms of complete advance payment. The delivery contract is drawn up on the basis of Letter of Intent.
The Letter of Intent should be accompanied with: (1) customer's details, (2) copy of License of RF Committee for Supervision of Nuclear and Radiation Safety to work with radioactive materials, and (3) copy of Certificate on record entering into Unified State Register for legal entities registered before July 1, 2002.
Foreign enterprises and organizations should forward the Letter of Intent for SUIS supply to joint-stock company "TECHSNABEXPORT".
